We're going to try something new this week and see how it works, so throughout the afternoon as the game goes on, I'll be updating this post in real time with all my thoughts and comments on the game. 3:30pm - I've been having some technical difficulties with MS Word (I know, problems with a Microsoft product, shocking huh?) linking to the blog, so I'm going to have to do this the difficult way, may result in a few less posts from me, but hopefully the Bills give me some good things to talk about for a change.

3:41pm - Willis McGahee already has more TDs this season in 4 games than he did in each of his last 2 years in Buffalo. It's no wonder Bills fans hate him so much, the theory that he wasn't trying to just seems more and more true all the time.

4:01pm - Alright folks, gametime is just ahead! Here's hoping the Bills can take advantage of a quarterback getting his first ever NFL start today and that the offense can actually operate functionally. I plan on keeping an ongoing tally of Trent Edwards pass attempts over 15 yards, that is passes thrown in the air over 15 yards, not just gains of that length. Devin is setting the over/under at 3...

4:12pm - So Chad Henne's first pass attempt was 15+ yards down the field... glad a guy with almost no NFL experience has the guts to try it but Edwards doesn't.

4:13pm - Chris Kelsay has taken a ton of heat from Bills fans, myself included, for making a boatload of cash and not producing. Let me say he's been much improved this year so far.

4:18pm - Great work Bills, Roscoe gets you fantastic field position and you go 3 and out... Lucky a penalty bailed you out. Now they better do something with it, and I don't mean a field goal.

4:21pm - Discouraging start by the offense yet again. 2 gift wrapped opportunities that lead to 0 points. At least Fred Jackson is still running the ball well.

4:32pm - Welcome Back Beastmode! Could you and Fred kindly wake up the rest of your offensive teammates?

4:34pm - Wow, more awful play calling. Can we officially start the Please Fire Dick Jauron Countdown Clock now?

4:39pm - The Bengals and Browns are doing their best to end in a tie in Cleveland. It always amazes me when an NFL games does end in a tie. I mean, how can neither team manage to at least get into field goal position in a full quarter?

4:43pm - So Mark Sanchez is human after all? Pick 6 for New Orleans to put them up 10-0.

4:48pm - Both my cats are curled up and sleeping, after watching this game so far, I'm a little jealous.

4:52pm - Speaking of Pick 6's, the Dolphins get one by jumping a route. Gee, do you think they realized that the Bills throw underneath and nothing else?

4:54pm - The Bengals finally kick a field goal with 4 seconds left in OT to get the win. It may not be pretty, but they're quietly 3-1.

4:56pm - Trent Tracker = 1, nice grab by Owens... see what happens when you go down the field???

4:58pm - Wow, move the ball down the field in a hurry, then net -3 yards once you get to the 15. Settle for a field goal. This is no way to win football games. Hey, at least they outscored the Sabres this weekend though, that was a legit concern for some.

5:04pm - Completely unproven, first time NFL starter - 3 pass attempts over 15 yards. Multi-year starter - 1 attempt. Words can't convey the frustration I have with this.

5:08pm - 17-3 Miami already in the 2nd quarter. For those questioning why they were above the Bills in Devin's latest Power Rankings, do you need more proof?

5:10pm - Things currently more interesting to me than this game: VeryFakeAlDavis on Twitter - "Pretty good right? RT @FootballEditor: JaMarcus Russell 11 of 30 passing, one fumble."

5:14pm - The word "cougar" becoming mainstream has completely ruined all the fun involved.

5:24pm - Maybe someday the Bills will understand that the offensive line can make or break a team, and it's the reason our team has been broken for the past decade. 17-3 Miami at the half, 6 quarters and counting without an offensive TD for Buffalo.

5:30pm - My buddy Paul showed up at halftime, I tried to warn him it wasn't worth watching. I will feel no guilt when he suffers in the 2nd half.

5:41pm - I almost forgot to turn the game back on... in fact, I wish I had.

5:45pm - Hey Bills, newsflash, the Dolphins are going to run. If we could force Henne to make plays the defense might be able to hold them in check.

5:49pm - Mark Sanchez is directly responsible for 14 New Orleans points. Maybe Jets fans should haven't been in such a hurry to annoint him.

5:50pm - Alright Bills, might as well go for full fledged embarassment at this point!

5:56pm - Good Lord, this is just difficult to watch at this point. Another route jumped. It's going to keep happening all year if we never try to throw the ball down the field.

6:00pm - Anybody think Jauron would have ever gone for it right there if the tables were turned? He wouldn't know killer instinct if it bitch slapped him across his skeleton face.

6:03pm - Text from Devin - "I'll let you decide where to put the Bills ranking spot because if you let me I am putting them at 32" While it's bad, there is still Oakland, Cleveland, Tampa, and St. Louis behind us at least...

6:08pm - Paul didn't even make it through the 3rd quarter, he left in favor of going home to do yardwork, and again, I'm a little jealous.

6:09pm - I said it already earlier today, but if the Bills lose to the Browns next week and Jauron still has a job, I'm not sure I can handle being a Bills fan anymore. Remind me again why I dropped $400 on Sunday Ticket instead of spending $180 on Center Ice?

6:12pm - Trent through the ball for more than 15 yards for the second time. He's 2-2, 62 yards on those plays. I'm also one more attempt away from winning the pool.

6:15pm - 3-3 on deep passes now... it only took 3 quarters to figure it out today huh?

6:17pm - To add insult to injury, in one of my fantasy leagues I'm up against Ronnie Brown and the Dolphins Defense. I'm currently down by 49 points.

6:23pm - Buffalo Bills Football: Failure Tested, Failure Approved!

6:32pm - Sort of regretting my purchase of Bills @ Panthers tickets for 10/25. Oh well, at least it'll get me out and about while my wife is in Thailand!

6:33pm - 3rd and 6, completion for a loss. Amazing!

6:34pm - For those seeking entertainment, I'd suggest the Jets/Saints game. Both teams are actually playing football in that game...

6:37pm - The Jets defense has mostly shut down the Saints offense today actually, but Sanchez is costing them the game with his turnovers and subsequent Saints points.

6:38pm - That's 4 sacks today for the Bills, has to be the most in quite some time. See, I can pretend there is a positive coming out of this game...

6:42pm - The Bills last divisional win was December 9, 2007 and I don't see the trend ending anytime soon.

6:44pm - My focus has officially switched to "What's for dinner?"

6:45pm - Did Kevin Harlan get a new stopwatch this week or something? I've never heard a broadcaster announce the hangtime on EVERY single punt!

6:47pm - Well the Bills have officially quit for the day, I'm on the verge of doing so as well.

6:47pm - "Miami looking every bit the division champion they are." Really Harlan??? Are you sure the Bills don't just suck that much? The Dolphins were still 0-3 coming in to this game in case you forgot. They're better than 1-3 suggests, but they're still only 3rd best in the division.

6:49pm - I play Fantasy Football to escape being a Bills fan, and now they're costing me that too? Down by 59 and climbing against Brown and the Fish Defense.

6:50pm - 4 for 5 on 15+ yard pass attempts now...

6:52pm - Another Trent Edwards INT. A fitting place to end this little experiment I think. Unless people tell me they really enjoyed this, I think I shall never attempt that again. It might be enjoyable if I were to follow a decent game, but this was just painful all the way.
